¿Que? The Soviet Union lost 15k troops in Afghanistan, they were pulling troops from more nations than just Russia and they pulled out thirty years ago. Over 2mil Afghans were killed. As a comparison, the US lost over 58k troops in Vietnam.

If anything had an impact on the Russian population, it would have been WWII in which they lost around 20,000,000 people.

I watched a show on youtube about mail order brides and that is what they claimed. It may or may not be accurate. I wouldn’t recommend watching that show unless you are really, really bored at work.
